My favourite places to hang out and entertain are ‘The Roof Gardens’, and ‘Koko’ in London. Also, my house is a favourite as I love to host and make cocktails for my friends and enjoy great dinners together. I love my house and feel so refreshed when I’m in it…”
Caroline Sciamma Massenet, Founder, Skiim Paris
Based in Notting Hill, Caroline Sciamma Massenet is the visionary founder of Skiim Paris, a sustainable fashion brand that started with leather by-products from the organic meat industry and has since expanded to include exquisite pieces crafted from organic cotton, linen, cashmere, denim, and silk. Alongside her role at Skiim Paris, Caroline draws on her extensive editorial experience, including a tenure at VOGUE Paris, to work as a stylist on numerous shoots in collaboration with her close friend Angela Radcliffe…
C&B: “Caroline, congratulations on being featured on the CITY & BEACH INTERNATIONAL BEST DRESSED LIST 2025! You are definitely the best model and ambassador for your own brand. How would you describe your personal style, and in what ways has it evolved throughout the years?”
CSM: “Thank you! My personal style has always been unique; I would describe it as classic with a twist, which allows me to play with textures and colours, as I believe that layering adds depth and tells stories to create a bold look. I am never afraid to mix vintage pieces with new ones; that is the beauty of fashion – it provides me with a true identity…”
C&B: “Which fashion designers would you say are your favourites, past and/or present?”
CSM: “Alexandre Vaultier, always! Saint Laurent, The Row, Celine, Schiaparelli and Victoria Beckham. And Skiim, of course, which I wear and mix and match with all of them…”

My inspirations are rooted in the style icons of the 60s and 70s – Jane Birkin, Lauren Hutton, Charlotte Rampling, and Brigitte Bardot. These charismatic women embody a natural yet chic elegance, effortlessly pulling off simple ensembles. Their pure personalities allow them to wear timeless and impactful pieces with confidence. I believe that women don’t need to resort to eccentric attire to make a statement; true style shines through in simplicity.…”

C&B: “Your entire look is chic and timeless; when you think back over the years, which outfit has been your favourite?”
CSM: “A trench coat and a pair of wide-leg stretch trousers, among many other pieces that I’ve meticulously preserved for over 20 years. The majority of these items are made of leather. Notably, I still have an old pair of Alexander McQueen leather trousers, which remain a part of my wardrobe, along with a long silk chiffon dress that I often update my collection with. This dress is particularly versatile, as it can accommodate various body types; simply adding a belt transforms it into a flattering and elegant silhouette – et voilà!”

Not too long ago, I had the pleasure of joining one of my great friends for their 50th birthday in Marrakech. I found the most amazing hooded brown dress with crystals (above, right) to complete the desert-look style! I love getting dressed up, it brings me joy – it’s my favourite hobby!”

C&B: “Is there a favourite piece in your wardrobe for the Autumn season, and why is it special to you?
CSM: “I’m absolutely obsessed by a long black leather pencil skirt with a slit in the back, chic and sexy at the same time – you can wear it with flats or heels. I also love to wear my relaxed wide leg trousers called ‘Marcella’, so easy and cool!”

I’m lucky that my best friends in are in the beauty business, such as ‘Violette_fr’, she does make up like no other, all her products are vegan with no chemicals; my favourite lipsticks are called ‘bisous balm’ and ‘bisous jelly’. I love also ‘Holidermie’ products, including their serum, shampoo and conditioner, all vegan again. Another favourite is the lip oil from Rodial…”

C&B: “Finally, Caroline, what are your ‘must-have’ fashion accessories that you never leave home without and how would you describe your personal style of dressing?”
CSM: “A leather clutch bag, simple and chic. A St Laurent belt, pair of Celine or Victoria Beckham sunglasses. I like to add just a taste of trends into my personal style – a little oversized and fitted on my bottom half or top half, looks great combined to a different shape. All tight does not look good anymore, so adding an edge is nice with a little slice of oversized, but not the total look…”
