C&B: “We can see you like a very streamlined, classical look; which fashion designers are you drawn to most?”
EK: “My favourite designers reflect my love for classic elegance with a touch of boldness. From the past, Chanel under Karl Lagerfeld’s direction is a major inspiration. His vision redefined classic luxury, blending timeless styles with modern edgy elements. I am also drawn to Valentino’s iconic work, where elegance meets a sense of drama, creating pieces that are both graceful and captivating. I admire Pierpaolo Piccioli for how he infused Valentino with fresh creativity while honouring its legacy of elegance…”

I love Daniel Roseberry’s work at Schiaparelli; his pieces are artful and daring, merging classical forms with avant-garde touches. And of course, Anthony Vaccarello’s work at Saint Laurent is remarkable; he brings a sleek, sensual edge to timeless silhouettes, crafting looks that feel both powerful and refined. Each of these designers inspired me to embrace elegance with an edge, staying true to classic foundations while exploring new expressions…”

C&B: “Besides the designers themselves, who are your most influential style inspirations?”
EK: “Some of my most important style inspirations come from a mix of iconic figures and contemporary fashion influencers. I draw a great deal of inspiration from classic Hollywood stars like Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly, whose timeless elegance and sophisticated looks continue to resonate with me. They embodied a sense of femininity and grace that I admire and strive to incorporate into my own style…”
“I also look to modern fashion icons, such as Olivia Palermo, who effortlessly blends classic pieces with contemporary flair. Her ability to create chic, polished looks while maintaining sense of individuality is something I truly appreciate. Additionally, I find inspiration in the street style and the unique ways people express themselves through fashion in different cultures and settings. I also find inspiration in art, architecture, and the diverse cultures I encounter while living between Paris and New York. Each of these influences contribute to my evolving sense of style, helping me curate the wardrobe that feels timeless, sophisticated, and unique to me…”
CB: “Yes, Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly are two names that pop up all the time when we discuss timeless fashion – they’re truly iconic. What is your favourite piece in your wardrobe right now, and why?”
EK: “I have so many favourite pieces in my wardrobe that it’s hard to choose just one! Each item tells a story and reflects my personal style in different ways. For instance, I love my Valentino dresses for their exquisite design and timeless elegance. My tailored Chanel coat that adds sophistication to any outfit. It’s another timeless piece that never goes out of style. Then there is my classic little black dress, which serves as a versatile staple. I can dress it up with a statement jewelry or down with a denim jacket, making it a suitable for variety of occasions. Ultimately, my wardrobe is a reflection of my journey and style evaluation, with each piece playing a vital role in how I express myself. It’s this diversity that keeps fashion exciting, and allows me to showcase my individuality in every outfit…”

Recently, I’ve attended several events that called for something extra special. C&B: “These outfits and celebrations sound incredible! Are there any ‘must-have’ fashion accessories that you never leave home without?”

C&B: “As you spend a lot of time travelling, can you share any tips for maintaining a stylish yet comfortable look while on the go?”
EK: “Yes, I suggest choosing versatile pieces: Opt for clothing that can be mixed and matched easily in neutral colours, and classic styles. Layer wisely: Air travel can involve varied temperatures, so layering is key. Comfortable shoes are a must. Minimal make-up: Keep your make up routine simple and natural – a tinted moisturiser and a bit of lip balm, that’s all. Stay true to your style: ultimately, wear what makes you feel good.
