Your vibe attracts your tribe – everyone is unique. It takes time to find yourself and your style, but once you find it, stick to it! My personal style is basically classical with a crazy twist but always feminine with a hint of sexy. I think it’s very important to know what style flatters your figure and personality…”
Giovanna Cicutto, Art Consultant
Giovanna Cicutto studied art history in Italy and married at a very young age to an artist who was an ‘unknown’ at the time. She dedicated her skills to successfully promoting his work and raising his profile as an international sculptor over the years, all while raising their family between her home country, Ibiza and Barcelona, where she currently resides. Now divorced, Giovanna continues to lead her team in art consultancy projects for other artists and institutions, including collectors and museums. The team also engages in public relations related to the art world and facilitates the introduction of patrons and sponsors within that sphere. Here we discuss Giovanna’s style and congratulate her on being named in the CITY & BEACH LIFESTYLE BEST DRESSED LIST 2025…
C&B: “Giovanna – congratulations on being on our list this year! How would you describe your style of dressing?”
GC: “Since I’m curvy and feminine I opt for the extremes – either the military style or the romantic dresses with beautiful prints. For business I prefer ‘power suits’ with the softer touch of a silk top or scarf. The accessories and jewels are big protagonists of my style, you will never see me during the day without my sunglasses and at night without diamonds…”

My design inspirations are Grace Kelly, Jaqueline Kennedy and Kate Blanchett…”

C&B: “Yes, it’s amazing how accessories and jewellery can transform an outfit! Which designers you’re most drawn to, and why?”
GC: “My first love was Valentino when he was the designer of the brand, and Alberta Ferretti for her fabulous chiffons, then I became very fond of Gucci when Tom Ford transformed the brand. Keeping Alberta – who’s a personal friend – as a reference, I lately shifted again to Valentino, Etro and Missoni. I mix and match the different designers since I feel the ‘total brand look’ is uninspiring…”

I felt amazing at the inauguration and on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival in September; I was wearing a beautiful black dress by Alberta Ferretti…”

C&B: “We see that you’re drawn to the leading designers of your home country of Italy; when you feel like dressing down, what style do you go for?”
GC: “For me, it’s always been my blue jeans for their versatility; I can wear them day or night, dressing up or down, and I feel comfortable – a good pair of jeans always has a key role in my wardrobe. I adore the brand Victoria Beckham for jeans and denims…”
CB: “Yes, Victoria Beckham has become a really strong name in fashion – both with her clothes and her accessories. When you think back, what has been your most favourite outfit of all time?”
GC: “My favourite outfit when I was young and living in New York, making my first steps into the art world, was a couture dress by Valentino called the ‘Venetian dress’. I took it as an homage to my origins and I just had to have it! More recently, I loved the Ferretti dress that I wore to the opening of the Venice Film Festival last year because it made me feel like woman again after a sad period of my life when I was feeling very low…”

Since I embarked on my ‘solo’ career, I’ve been working as a project manager for the official Pavilion of Kazakhstan at the latest Venice Art Biennale, and I’ve been managing public relations for several international artists exhibiting at the Biblioteca Marciana and the Maxxi Museum in Rome. I recently curated a monumental installation by the artist Xavier Mascaró in front of the Pyramids in Giza, Cairo, as part of the Art d’Egypte event, while also working on numerous international projects. I’m completely booked for the next two years; I never anticipated that my career would take off so rapidly once I was free to support as many artists as I wished!”

C&B: “With the global concern about sustainable brands and ecology, how does this fit with the fashion pieces you choose to invest in?”
GC: “I’m very committed to the environment and the problems caused by the crazy misuse of our resources. That’s why I always try to buy timeless pieces that will last, for their style and materials. One of the brands that I love to discuss is Patagonia; I’ve no doubt that if I ever need heavy winter clothing, I’ll buy from them, and support their vision…”

I travel a lot, and being stylish is an attitude that’s independent of one’s attire – either you have style, or you don’t. If you’re elegant, you don’t need to spend a great deal of money to achieve this look. However, I’d suggest that accessories convey a significant amount about your style. You can wear very simple and comfortable clothing for travel, which, when combined with elegant bags, shoes, glasses, and scarves, can create a stylish appearance. In my purse, I always carry with me lipgloss, powder and sunglasses…”

C&B: “On the subject of travel, which places do you gravitate to and which places do you avoid?”
GC: “I could write a book on this! I have many favorite places around the world since I have traveled all my life. I can only say that I don’t like big hotels and loud places; I’m more for the high quality of the food and the simplicity of a healthy meal than for the sophistication. However, some places that offer extra refinement in presentation and service do provide you with a whole new experience…”
